Microsoft Outlook 2016
Step 1
Open Outlook and click on “File".
Step 2
Go to Account Settings and select “Manage Profiles”.
Step 3
Click on Email Accounts and double click on the email account you want to use with mySMTP.
Step 4
Type smtp.dk in the field “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)”.
Then click More Settings.
Step 5
Click the “Outgoing Server” menu and check the following:
1. In the field “User Name”, insert the user email you have made in the SMTP account setup.
2. In the “Password” field insert the password you received in setup email or use the one made in the SMTP account set up.
Then click the advanced tab.
Step 6
Set “outgoing server (SMTP)” port to 587
Set encryption to AUTO or STARTTLS
Click Ok and go back to account settings window and click “Test account Settings...”
Mozilla Thunderbird
Step 1
Open Mozilla Thunderbird and click on the Settings icon, and then "Account Settings".
Step 2
Under "Outgoing server (SMTP) option, select the account you want to use and click "Edit".
If you have no SMTP server set up yet, click on “Add”.
Step 3
Type in the following information:
Description: mySMTP Server
Name: mail.mysmtp.com
Port: 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS.
Authentication Method: Encrypted Password
Username: Enter the email address from the setup mail.
Step 4
The first time emails are sent via mysmtp.com, the SMTP password received in the setup email will be required.

Please note that Mozilla Thunderbird operates with “identities”. Each Identity can have its own SMTP configuration, and you may also need to adjust these SMTP settings.
