It happened without prior warning and without a legal order, raising an alarming question:\u00a0<br \/>Is your data \u2014 and your voice \u2014 safe when it&#8217;s in the hands of global cloud giants?\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>A new reality for email senders<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p>Most Email Service Providers (ESPs) today are deeply integrated into the \u201cbig cloud\u201d ecosystem like:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Microsoft: Outlook, Office 365, Exchange Online\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Google: Gmail, Workspace, Cloud Platform\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Amazon: SES, AWS hosting\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Apple: iCloud Mail\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>While these platforms offer convenience, there\u2019s a downside:\u00a0<br \/>They are centralized, politically governed, and often lack transparency when making decisions about content and user accounts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>What happened?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p>Here\u2019s a concrete example:\u00a0<br \/>A user reports that his Outlook.com address was deleted after sharing content that broke no laws but was considered \u201csensitive\u201d in certain political contexts.\u00a0<br \/>Everything \u2014 from private emails to contacts and documents \u2014 was permanently deleted.\u00a0<\/p><p>And support? Non-existent. \u201cViolation of terms\u201d was all he received \u2014 the classic arrogant response from Big Tech, when they respond at all.
